About

Making beads and jewelry is my hobby, consequently I make what my many moods dictate and make only what pleases me. Every piece is unique and the items you see on this site are the actual pieces for sale.

Being involved in art and design all my life I have collected beads since 'discovering' them as a teenager. Being a web designer by trade, I needed a hobby that took me away from the computer. Furthering my interest in beads and jewelry seemed logical. But I never let logic get in the way of something I really want to do.

As a founding member of the St. Louis Lampworker's Society I have been making beads for over six years, studying with bead artists Dustin Tabor, Jill Symons, Kate Fowle Meleney and Jim Smircich. Additionally, I teach small classes in my basement studio and wrote a series of online metal smithing tutorials. I am certified in PMC, studying with Barbara Becker Simon, and am a member of the PMC Guild.

Most of the glass beads used in my jewelry are handmade by me at the torch using traditional Venetian lampworking methods. My beads are made with Moretti and Lauscha glass, fully kiln annealed for durability.
